Анотація
У статті описаний часто парадоксальний символізм роману у різних літературних жанрах. Звернено увагу на те, що у творі присутні теорії відомого психоаналітика Зигмунда Фрейда про те, що людський розум завжди знаходиться у стані війни між різними імпульсами ( ід, его, супер-его). З’ясовано, що роман має ознаки притчі,так як є приклади алюзій на біблійні тексти. Також його можна характеризувати як антиутопію ізоляції через поєднання у собі утопічної традиції та робінзонади. Доведено, що значна частина роману є алегоричною у політичному, соціальному, релігійному та психологічному планах , так як кожен персонаж чи предмет твору – наділений значним символічним значенням. Актуальність дослідження зумовлена тим, що роман «Володар мух» В. Голдінга не був об’єктом дослідження символіки тексту у різних жанрових різновидах літератури, яке проводилося у цій роботі. Об’єктом дослідження є текст роману В. Голдінга «Володар мух».
